I do see that there are a different number of twirls along the left that also indicate grade (good!), but man are they tiny. I can tell that the Elachi is different than the Tellarite below, but this game does not seem to be very CB friendly! The color selection here is completely different from that on items (where I don't have trouble: purple is quite dark). From what I gather officers should be purple, then blue, then green, then white. So, Seductive, Mental Discipline, Superior Peak Health, Superior Sure Footed?Īs a player who is both new and colorblind, I'm quite cautious about interpreting all of this. You can space the tribbles too, but no payment for that. A Tactical bridge officer can't take a crew station that is designed for a Science officer.įood and tribbles: you can right-click on food to discard it and get a few credits. Also, ships have Stations that can only be used for certain careers. You would need to dismiss one of them to make room for someone else.īe careful who you dismiss since they will be gone forever. Do you have any rows marked as available ("no officer" I think)? If you've been letting all the new bridge officer rewards you got from leveling up, the answer is probably not.

Later on at endgame you can use one of your free respecs to optimize it for your play style If you put 1-2 points into all of the skill choices you'll have a Jack-of-all-trades build without needing to give it any thought. Notice that you get the most value out of the first point in a skill. You get a few leveling up but after that it costs cash money to buy more tokens. The Skill tree costs "respec tokens" to change. You can do this in safe ground zones (Spacedock, Academy) and in space outside of the story episodes. Traits (on the traits tab) can be swapped freely for free.

Oh, what should I be doing about assigning traits to my character? Are these things I safely fool around with, or are they permanent?
#STAR TREK ONLINE TACTICAL BUILD 2019 INSTALL#
He's a permanent part of my bridge crew even though he looks like a potato in a dollar store Darth Vader Halloween costume.Īs for your phase problem, you aren't trying to install one that is too highly ranked for the ship you are flying maybe? Like a Mk VI Phaser on a T2 ship? I don't think the game will let you put it in there, but I've not tried it myself to see what happens. One of the story arc rewards is a Hierarchy BOFF with both Pirate and Efficient. Most Bridge Officers have no space skills at all, and most of the rest have dubious ones like Leadership. Typically what people look for in Bridge Officers are ones with good space traits, like Superior Romulan Operative, Pirate, and probably different ones these days. If you dismiss them they are gone for good.

There's no way to put a Bridge Officer back in the box. looks like it's grayed out once I've got it installed, and clicking the button won't light it back up. Is there a way to pack up and store a current crew member for later? I see the DISMISS button, but that sounds rather final.Īlso, I'm having trouble with a weapon (Phaser Array, iirc) that won't fire. You can right-click on the box later on to activate it / commission them to active duty.ĭid you pick a tactical, science or engineering career? Click on NOT NOW to keep them sleeping away in their stasis box. When you get a new bridge officer as a mission or level up reward, the person will ask if you want them to join your active crew. Right now you might not have any free slots. It also shows how many available / unused crew slots you have.

The top-right of the skills / powers tray has tiny buttons to let you add more rows as you get even more powers, and re-arrange powers on the tray (by dragging powers from the pop-up window listing all of them).įor your Orion: The U key brings up the status window, which shows your crew and ship on the left side. For your powers on the skill tray you can use 0-9 or click. You can move using the mouse or keyboard, try both to see which one you prefer. I don't use shooter mode myself, I just spam 1 (normal) and 2 (alternate attack) to fire at my current target, which you can set or change with the TAB key. You can use the ESC key to close things and then (once things are closed) get to settings for things like key binds. I'll send you an invite tonight if no one else gets to it first.
